History

In the course of secularisation in 1803 were the rights of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg and the Julius Hospital in the city of Bavaria, which she ceded to the newly formed Grand Duchy of Würzburg in the Peace of Pressburg 1805. In 1814 it fell back with this part of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

Religion

Karsbach is the seat of the Catholic parish of St. Gertrud with St. Alban's branch in Weyersfeld and is part of the Deanery of the Diocese of Würzburg Karlstadt. Protestant churches and places of worship can be found in Heßdorf and Höllrich. They are assigned to the Office of the Dean Lohr of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria.
