Karsten Greve

Karsten Greve ( born September 15, 1946 in Dahme / Mark ) is a German art dealer.

Life

He studied law and art history at the University of Cologne, at the University of Lausanne and at the University of Geneva.

In 1969, he began his career as an art dealer. In 1970, he opened with Rolf Moellenhof the Moellenhof / Greve Gallery. In 1973 he opened his first gallery in Cologne with an exhibition of Yves Klein. Since 1977 he takes part in the relevant art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Miami, Art Cologne and FIAC. He runs three art galleries worldwide under the name of Galerie Karsten Greve, who are not specialized in a particular subject. Well-known artists were exhibited Louise Bourgeois, John Chamberlain, Cy Twombly and Paco Knöller.
