Karsten Kroon ( born January 29, 1976 in Dalen, Coevorden ) is a Dutch racing cyclist. He is 1.80 meters tall, while his racing weight is 67 kg.

Career

As early as 1996 it was possible Karsten Kroon to win as an amateur race Ronde van Drenthe the professional. In 1999 he was himself a professional and eventually went to 2005 for the ProTeam Rabobank. From 2006 to 2009 Kroon was the Danish team CSC under contract before the American Professional Continental team BMC Racing team he joined in 2010.

In the Vuelta a España 2011 Kroon crashed during the 14th stage of a 30 -meter-high embankment and broke an arm and then had to give up.

For the 2012 season Kroon returned to CSC, dads now under the name of Team Saxo Bank to stand as captain for the classics in the Ardennes, but also as a driver and crew Capitaine de route for younger drivers available recoiled.
