Karsten Stolz

Karsten Stolz ( born July 23, 1964 in Oberhausen ) is a former German shot putter.

Career

Pride began his career at SG Oberhausen and launched later for the TV Wattenscheid 01 Athletics. He soon gained a reputation as an exceptional talent. In 1978, he improved the German student record in the shot put at 17.70 meters. Two years later he increased the German B- youth - personal best of 18.02 m to 20.70 m. At the Track Junior Championships 1981 in Utrecht, he won the bronze medal behind the two-year old Andreas Horn and Ulf Timmermann of East Germany. In the same year, he scored a Jugendweltbestleistung of 18.73 m with the fact the adult class reserved 7.26 -kg ball.

In the Federal Republic of Germany is proudly developed the dominant shot putter. Between 1984 and 1990, he was five times German champion outdoors and four times in the hall.
