Kartalspor is a Turkish football club from Istanbul.
Foundation
Kartalspor was founded on August 18, 1949 Restaurant Bahar in the homonymous district of Kartal. The founders were Mustafa Gursel, Haluk Akan, Mustafa Karakas, Enver Ersoylu, Sadettin Oral, Ismail Perin, Vahit Kınay.
The club has evolved over the years into a hotbed of talent and traditionally has good youth teams. 2011/12 won the second team Kartalspor A2, which consists almost exclusively of young players who are on the leap into the professional team, the championship of the reserve team league TFF A2 Ligi.
History
On February 22, 1965, the team competed in a professional league for the first time. They played at that time in the amateur league of Istanbul. In the season 1983/84 was able to ascend to the third league. In 1988 the team was promoted to the Second Division. After 13 years, the Istanbul dismounted, but returned in 2007 back to the TFF 1 Lig.
