Kartitsch Saddle

The Kartitscher saddle is a Talpass in Tyrol 's Gail Valley in East Tyrol, at an altitude of 1525 m above sea level. A. that connects the Val Pusteria with the Gail Valley. It lies between the Carnic Alps and the Lienz Dolomites. On the eastern side lies Obertilliach, on the western side, on Gailbach, the eponymous Linz. Only about 150 meters from each spring on the saddle, the current flowing to the west Gailbach and flowing eastward Gail.

Building is the seat by the Gail Valley Road ( B111 ). Its importance is regional. To the south of the Plöckenpass closes at something distant Naßfeld and southern motorway.
