Kasaoka (Japanese笠冈 市, -shi) is a city in the Japanese prefecture of Okayama.

Geography

Kasaoka is located east of Fukuyama and west of Okayama on the Inland Sea.

History

The city Kasaoka was founded on April 1, 1952.

Traffic

Kasaoka is connected to the Sanyo Expressway and to the National Road 2 to Osaka and Kitakyushu. By train you can take the JR Sanyo Main Line to Kobe and Kitakyushu.
