Kasia Smutniak

Kasia Smutniak ( born August 13, 1979 in Pila as Katarzyna Anna Smutniak ) is a mainly active in Italy, Polish actress and a model.

Life and career

Kasia Smutniak began her modeling career at the age of 15 years. In addition to her mother tongue, she speaks also fluent in Russian, English and Italian.

A larger audience Smutniak 2010 became known in the role of Caroline alongside John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the action thriller From Paris with Love.

On September 4, 2004 in Rome Smutniak brought a daughter into the world. Father of the child was her longtime friend, the Italian fellow actor Pietro Taricone, who died on June 29, 2010.

2012 Smutniak was selected as host of the opening and closing ceremony of the 69th International Film Festival of Venice.
