Kašpar Mašek

Gašpar Masek ( born January 6, 1794 in Prague, † May 13 1873 in Ljubljana) was a Czech composer.

The son of Masek was Vincenç 1813-1815 military bandmaster in Russia. In 1819 he was theater conductor in Graz, 1820 in Ljubljana. Until 1854, he also taught at the music school of the Philharmonic Society of Ljubljana.

He composed two operas, an operetta, sacred music, cantatas and choral works. His son Kamilo Masek was known as a composer.
