Kassav ' Zouk is a band from Guadeloupe and Martinique. Kassav ' was founded in 1979 by Pierre -Edouard Decimus, on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. Together with Freddy Marshall, he resorted to carnival music and modernized it. As the leading band during the period that the Zouk they gave this style a Caribbean sound by integrated elements of reggae, salsa and Haitian Kompa.
