Turnhout is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 18,132 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It consists of the main town and the two districts Lichtaart and Tielen.

Turnhout is located eight kilometers north, Antwerp 38 km west of Brussels and about 60 kilometers south-west.
