Katarina Kresal

Katarina Kresal ( born January 28, 1973 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian lawyer and politician. She was from June 2007 to the significant election defeat of her party in December 2011, the leader of the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia ( LDS) and in 2008 was Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia in the files kept by Prime Minister Borut Pahor coalition government since November.

In 2010 Kresal was exposed to two votes of no confidence on corruption charges, they both survived. According to a report by the Anti -Corruption Authority, was found in the case of the rental of a building for the Slovenian Intelligence transparency in the awarding of the contract to a personal friend Kresals, she entered 10 August 2011 by "irrevocably " back.
