Kate Walsh (singer)

Kate Walsh ( born February 20, 1983 in Burnham-on -Crouch, Essex, United Kingdom) is a British musician.

Life

Walsh was born in Burnham-on -Crouch, where she grew up also. Through her parents and her older brothers was awakened early interest in music. At the age of five years, Walsh began with the piano playing. Later she trained as a classical pianist at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music. She also learned to play the guitar.

First pieces she published privately on MySpace. Their debut album Clocktower Park was released in 2003 for the music label Kitchenware Records. Later, Walsh founded her own label Blueberry Pie. 2007 reached their album Tim 's House, the UK's top 100 and sat down at the top of the iTunes download charts. Her song Talk of the Town was in March 2007, available on iTunes as a free single of the week, brought her another boost in popularity.

On the 2010 album released Peppermint Radio Walsh sang 11 cover versions, including by Prefab Sprout ( When Love Breaks Down ), Erasure (A Little Respect ) and EMF ( Unbelievable ).

2011 appeared the fifth album The Real Thing.
