Kathalijne Buitenweg

Kathalijne Maria Buitenweg ( born March 27, 1970 in Rotterdam ) is a Dutch politician of the party Groen Links.

Life

After her schooling Buitenweg studied history at the University of Amsterdam where she specialized in the areas of study European Studies and American Studies. Besides her studies Buitenweg was involved in politics and a member of the party Groen Links.

From 1999 to 2009 Buitenweg was two legislative periods Member of the European Parliament. Buitenweg is married to the politician Maarten van Poelgeest and has two children with him.
