Katharina Heinz

Katharina Heinz (* June 27, 1987 in Siegen ) is a German skeleton pilot.

Sports career

Katharina Heinz lives in wins and starts for the RSG Sauerland, where she is coached by Bernhard Lehmann. The Seelbacherin began in 2003 with the skeleton and belongs since 2006 to the German national squad. In November 2006, Heinz debuted in Igls Skeleton European Cup and finished fourth. Since the 2007/ 08 season Heinz starts in the newly created Skeleton Intercontinental Cup.

In January 2008 she won a race in Calgary as part of the America's Cup after Second City and then in Calgary was third before in Park race of the Intercontinental Cup. In 2008, she managed the victory at the German Championships for the year 2009, Kathleen Lawrence, and Marion Trott. January 16, 2009 Heinz was on the bobsled and luge track at Koenigssee with a total time of 1:39,48 minutes Junior World Champion. The Intercontinental - 2008/09 season was very successful for Heinz.
