Kathleen Aerts

Kathleen Aerts ( born June 18, 1978 in Geel, Belgium, actually: Kathelijne Elisabeth Maria Aerts ) is a Flemish singer- songwriter. She was a member of the Belgian pop group K3.

Life

Kathleen Aerts from 1998 to 2009, a member of the Flemish vocal trio K3, which is aimed more at children with his music. The genre of the band was pop and bubblegum pop. Originally K3 should be a Dutch-language version of the Spice Girls. The first song " Wat ik wil " flopped, however. K3 took the following year unsuccessfully during the preliminary round of the Euro Vision Song Contest, with her ​​single " Mama Heyah " some time later successfully both in the Belgian, as well as placed the Dutch charts. Together with K3 Aerts has released many singles, albums and DVDs and movies. Since Aerts has left K3, sing Verbeke and ladies along with Josje Huisman, who won the part in the group by a specially held talent show.

In 2010 Aerts was a member of Ketnetband.

After Aerts had left in 2009 K3, she launched her solo career with the song " Zumba Yade ". Later the album was followed by " Kathleen in symfonie " on which she sang popular songs. 2010 Aerts announced back again to return to the children's music. Her first children's song without K3, was called " Boerderij blues " (Eng. Farm Blues ) but has not yet appeared on the market. In order to bridge their pregnancy, Aerts wanted to produce three more children's songs. In September 2013, her third solo album " Vlinders " (Eng. butterflies) appear. The songs she wrote by himself.

Aerts was depressed for years, as she describes in her autobiographical book. Since June 2009 she has a relationship with the policeman Sven van Hoof, whom she married on June 12, 2010. Their first son was born on 26 January 2011 on the world, the second on December 8, 2013.

• Aerts ' image in the form of a wax figure is at the Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam.
• The song " Zumba Yade " was recorded by Aerts with Unicef. Part of the donations went to the company to help poor children in Africa. For this project, Aerts traveled to Africa and visited, among other things school.
• On the album " Kathleen in symfonie " Kathleen sings a duet with Danny de Munk.
• The album " Dag Sinterklaasje " arose because Aerts would like to present the old Christmas carols in a modern form, this idea came to her when she sought out Christmas carols, which they could sing to her son. On this album she has even co-written the first time to the songs.
