Katie Leung

Katie Liu Leung ( born August 8, 1987 in Motherwell, Scotland) is a British actress and was the role of Cho Chang in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005 ) is known. The film is Katie Leung's cinema debut.

Biography

Leung's parents, Peter and Kar Wai Li Leung, live separately, so that Katie now grew up with her two brothers and a younger sister with her father. Peter Leung runs a Chinese restaurant in the city center of Glasgow next to a private wholesale company for Chinese food. Thus Katie grew up in a well-off parents.

Without prior acting experience Katie Leung was selected from around 4,000 applicants for the role of Cho Chang in the film adaptation of the fourth part of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. JK Rowling, author of the series, wanted for the role of Cho Chang a completely unfamiliar face. Leung plays the same role in the film version of the fifth part of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and the sixth part of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and in the second part of the film adaptation of the seventh book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
