Katina Schubert

Katina Schubert ( born December 28, 1961 in Heidelberg ) is a German politician (The Left ).

Life

Katina Schubert studied 1981-1989 Political science, sociology and economics at the Rheinische Friedrich- Wilhelms- University Bonn and completed from 1990 to 1993 as an intern as business editor.

During her studies, she became politically active. 1980-1982 she was a member of the SPD in Bonn, Bad Godesberg and also in the Young Socialists active, where they fought for an autonomous youth center Bonn-Bad Godesberg. 1983 to 1989 she was involved in LUST at the University of Bonn. 1993-1994 she was a research associate of the non-attached members of parliament Ulrich Briefs and 1994-1997 Bonn correspondent of the daily newspaper Junge Welt. 1996-1998 she was foreigners officer of the PDS parliamentary group and 1998 dealt with the construction of Members' offices by Petra Pau. Until 2001 she worked as a personal assistant to the Bundestag Vice President Petra Bläss and was from May 2001 to October 2002 at the same time adviser to the Group Board of the PDS in the German Bundestag.

Katina Schubert in 2001 was held at the PDS and was established in June 2003 Member of the Party Committee and domestic policy spokesperson. As of end of April 2006, she was deputy leader of the Left Party. She was a member of the network reform left, so it was more associated with the right wing of the party. At the founding congress of the Left Party on 16 June 2007, she was elected its vice-chairman. In the spring of 2008, she announced to withdraw from the Party leadership to continue " to fight in other ways for their positions ." In May 2010, the second national convention of the Left Katina Schubert again selected in the advanced party executive.

On June 10, 2012 Katina Schubert was elected to the provincial director of the Berliner left.
