Katja von Garnier (* December 15 1966 in Wiesbaden ) is a German film director.

Life

Katja von Garnier is the daughter of renowned color designer Friedrich Ernst von Garnier. She studied from 1985 to 1989 art history, German, Theatre and Film Studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, and from 1989 to 1994 directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich.

1993 woke von Garnier's Short Film Silent ( 1990) the interest in Hollywood.
