Nevrokopi (Greek Νευροκόπι (n. sg. ) ) Is a municipality in the Greek East Macedonia. It is the coldest municipality in Greece. Capital is the same small town (2011) 2,157 inhabitants.

Name

The official name of the city is Kato Nevrokopi ( Κάτω Νευροκόπι, sub - ', respectively, low - Nevrokopi '). Geography

Nevrokopi is located in the southern foothills of the Pirin Mountains and the southern Rhodope Mountains, which are separated by the river Nestos.
