Katse Dam

The Katse Dam on Malibamatšo, a tributary of the Orange River in Lesotho there Senqu mentioned, was with 185 meters height to the construction of the Tekeze dam in Ethiopia in 2009, the highest dam in Africa. It was built to export water to South Africa and for the production of electrical energy. The dam is a double curvature arch dam concrete. The lake is 45 kilometers long.
