Katsuaki Watanabe

Katsuaki Watanabe (Japanese渡 辺 捷 昭Katsuaki Watanabe, born February 13, 1942 in Mie Prefecture ) is torishimariyaku - fuku - KAICHÔ (取缔 役 副 会长, " Officer and Deputy Chairman ") of Toyota JIDOSHA KK ( engl. Toyota Motor Corp. ).

Watanabe received his degree from Keio University in economics in 1964 and has since been working at Toyota. In 2005 he followed Fujio Chō as " executive director and president " ( Daihyō - torishimariyaku - shachō ). During his career he won by its cost reductions to reputational within the company. In 2009, he was replaced by Akio Toyoda.

Watanabe was counted by TIME magazine one of the 100 most influential people of 2005.

Katsuaki Watanabe was born in 1942 in Mie Prefecture and lives in the city of Toyota. He is married and has three daughters. The amateur musician Watanabe also sings in a men's choir and enjoys playing golf and tennis.
