History
First documentary mention of the village was carried out in 1326 as " de Cattendorpe ". From the Low German term or Catte Katte, the interpretation " Katzendorf " results.
Policy
Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the municipal election 2008, five seats, the SPD and four voters Community AWK has two seats.
