Katzenjammer (Band)

Katzenjammer is a folk-rock band from Norway. It consists of Anne Marit Bergheim, Solveig Heilo, Turid Jørgensen and Marianne Sveen and was founded in 2005. The name of the band goes back to the comic strip The Katzenjammer Kids. At the same time he (but not in the sense of hangover in German ) plays on a German loanword within the meaning of cats music for bad, inferior music that has been adopted into Norwegian.

History

Bergheim, Heilo and Jørgensen, the ( NISS ) in Oslo studied at the Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio Music, the project initially started with Tuva Andersen. After their exit Marianne Sveen joined the band. Through several successful concerts and participating in the popular television talent show Kjempesjansen the band earned a cult following. Performances abroad
