Kaunas Free Economic Zone

Free Economic Zone Kaunas ( lit. Kauno laisvoji ekonominė zona ) is a spatially delimited geographical area of 534 ha within the Rajongemeinde Kaunas in Lithuania, consisting, for the legal and administrative benefits to investors ( Special Economic Zone ). The zone was in October 1996 south of Ramučiai, the Magistrallandstraßen A6 ( Kaunas Zarasai - Daugpilis ) and A1 (Vilnius -Kaunas - Klaipeda ) in Biruliškiai ( District Karmėlava ) built.

It provides tax incentives ( tax benefit: 16 years ) for production, storage and other activity areas. A company is subject to income tax if it invests more than EUR 1 million for a period of six reporting periods. The next 10 periods makes the control value of 50% ( the guild tax in Lithuania is 15 %).

Zones

The Kaunas Free Economic Zone has three zones: logistics and production territory, economy road and air park ( combined with Kaunas airport).
