Kavrepalanchok District

Kabhrepalanchok is one of the 75 districts in Nepal. It lies with its main town, Dhulikhel in the Bagmati Zone.

Geography

The 1396 km ² large district located east of the Kathmandu valley.

The district is divided into 90 Village Development Committees ( VDCs ) and three cities ( municipalities ), namely Dhulikhel, Banepa and Panauti, all in the west of the district. Other important places are Panchkhal and Dolalghat.

Population

According to the last census in 2011, the district in 381.937Einwohner and the population density had was 293 persons / km ².

Infrastructure

By Kabhrepalanchok leads the Araniko Highway, a major trunk road from Kathmandu to the Sino- Nepal Friendship Bridge at the border with the Tibet Autonomous Region. Another road from Dhulikhel to the southeast in the Terai is nearing completion.
