Kayahan

Kayahan Açar (born 29 March 1949 in İzmir ) is a well beyond the borders of Turkey also known Turkish singer, composer and songwriter.

Life

His childhood and youth were spent in Ankara.

Later, his path led him to the big city Istanbul. After the time in Istanbul, he lived a long time in Gömeç ( Balıkesir Province ). There, in the INTA Sevgi Koyu all the streets are named after songs by Kayahan. Due to the education of his daughter but he lives again in İstanbul.

Work

Until now, he released three 45s, one LP, eleven cassettes and CDs. First of all, he put Nilüfer before his first songs. These beginnings, where Nilüfer has also been involved, have become established as a Turkish classical music.

When Euro Vision Song Contest in 1990, he represented Turkey with the song Gözlerinin Hapsindeyim. The published on June 3, 1991 Album Yemin Ettim ( I swore ) broke all sales records. His ninth album was released in April 1999 under the name Beni Azad Et ( Deliver me ). With this album, he broke all sales records again. For his fellow Barış Manço he wrote the title Bugün Aslında Bayram (Actually, today is a celebration ).
