Kazaly

Qasaly ( Kazakh Қазалы; Russian Казалинск ) is a city in Kazakhstan.

Geographical Location

The city is located in the territory of Kyzylorda on the right bank of the Syr Darya.

Population

Qasaly has 7,242 inhabitants (2008 ).

History

The city was founded in 1853 as a Russian - fixing Сыр Дарьинский форт № 1. 1867 was the place granted town rights and was renamed Kasalinsk ( Казалинск ).
