Kazimierz Gilarski

Kazimierz Gilarski ( born May 7, 1955 in Rudołowice; † 10 April 2010 Smolensk ) was a Polish Brigadier General.

Gilarski graduated from the high school officer of the army " Tadeusz Kościuszko " in Wroclaw. In 1978 he was transferred to the garrison in Warsaw, where he platoon leader and deputy head of the guard of honor was, among other things. In 1989 he completed his master's degree at the Pedagogical University in Cracow and then completed post-graduate studies at the University of National Defence from. In 1993 Kazimierz Gilarski deputy commander of the Warsaw garrison. On November 11, 2006, he was promoted to brigadier general and connected to the head of the garrison.

Kazimierz Gilarski died in the plane crash near Smolensk on April 10, 2010 on his way to a memorial service for the victims of the Katyn massacre. He left behind a wife and two children.
