Kazimierz Kmiecik

Kazimierz Kmiecik ( born September 19, 1951 in Węgrzce Wielkie near Cracow, Poland ) is a former Polish football player.

Kazimierz Kmiecik played from 1968 to 1982 as an attacking midfielder and striker in the first Polish league with Wisła Kraków. Kmiecik brought it at this time on 304 league games and scored 153 goals. He is still the top scorer in the history of the club. Between 1972 and 1980 he completed 34 caps for the Polish national football team. In the national team, he scored eight goals. He was with Poland Olympic champion, won the 3rd place in the Football World Cup in 1974 and won at the 1976 Olympic Games silver medal in 1972. In 1982 he was allowed to go to the West and played from 1982 to 1985 AE Larisa in Greece. In 1985 he came to Germany and played until 1988 with the Stuttgart Kickers. With the Stuttgarter Kickers he reached the final of the DFB-Pokal 1986/87, where his team against Hamburger SV subject. His career ended in 1989 when Offenburger FV. His son Grzegorz Kmiecik ( born 1984 ) currently playing in the first Polish league as an attacker with Wisła Kraków.
