Kazimierz Nycz

Kazimierz Cardinal Nycz ( born 1 February 1950 in Stara Wies, Poland) is Archbishop of Warsaw.

Life

Kazimierz Nycz was born in Stara Wies, the "old village" near Auschwitz. In 1967 he entered the seminary in Krakow and studied theology and philosophy. On May 8, 1972 Kazimierz Nycz was consecrated by the then Archbishop of Krakow, Cardinal Karol Józef Wojtyla as a deacon.
