Kazuhiko Nishi

Kazuhiko Nishi (Japanese西 和 彦, Kazuhiko Nishi, born 1956 in Japan ) is a former Microsoft employee and developer of the MSX standard for home computers.

Nishi worked until 1986 for Microsoft as Vice President for the East Asian businesses ( Vice President of the Far East operations).

He then worked for he founded ASCII Corporation and developed together with the NEC managing director Kazuya Watanabe the MSX standard. Today the ASCII Corporation is the largest multimedia company on the west side of the Pacific. He is a member of various management areas, which includes also the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. He is also president of the MSX Association, an organization that deals with the development of the MSX standard.
