Keaton Ellerby

Keaton Ellerby ( born November 5, 1988 in Strathmore, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League since November 2013 in the Winnipeg Jets on the position of the defender.

Career

Ellerby played from 2004 to 2007 at the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League before he was selected in 2007 NHL Entry Draft tenth of the Florida Panthers. During the following season he moved from Kamloops to league rivals Moose Jaw Warriors. For the season 2008/ 09 he was appointed to the cadre of the Rochester Americans, the farm team of the Panthers, for whom he went to the American Hockey League on the ice. During his second season in Rochester he gave in January 2010, his debut for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League, for whom he completed 22 games until the end of the season. In the season 2010/11 Ellerby played in 54 games in the NHL and was rarely in the AHL for use. For the season 2011/12 he signed a new one-year contract in Florida.

On February 8, 2013 Ellerby was transferred in exchange for a fifth- round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 to the Los Angeles Kings. In November 2013, the actor present on the Waiverliste was selected by the Winnipeg Jets.

Internationally

In the World U -17 Hockey Challenge 2005 Ellerby won the silver medal with Team Canada Pacific. In 2006, he belonged to the Canadian selection at the U18 World Youth Championship. He also ran on the Super Series 2007.
