History

In the 19th century Indians lived in the area of the present town. There she was still called Kichai. Kichai was also a stopping place for cowboys. 1900, Kechi a dairy, a post office, a hotel, a school, a blacksmith, a church, a shoe shop, a train depot and a mill. 1906 had Kechi the first doctor's office.
