Keçiören is a district of the Turkish province of Ankara and at the same time a municipality of Büyükşehir Belediyesi ( city municipality ) Ankara. The district is surrounded by the districts Pursaklar, Altındağ, Yenimahalle and Kazan. There are 831 229 inhabitants living in 53 Mahalle. Keçiören 1983 split from Altındağ and declared a municipality ( Belediye ).
