Kedrovy, Tomsk Oblast

Kedrowy (Russian Кедровый ) is a small town in the Tomsk Oblast (Russia) with 2451 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located in the southeast of the West Siberian Plain about 350 kilometers northwest of the Oblasthauptstadt Tomsk, on the river Tschusik, the left source of the river in turn opens into the Ob parabola.

The city is the Kedrowy Oblast administratively subordinated directly. It is surrounded parable of the territory of the Rajons for which it is not part. History

Kedrowy was created in 1982 as a petroleum workers' settlement. The given name is 1986 from the Russian word kedr (literally cedar, meaning the Siberian stone pine ) is derived.
