Kees Kist

Cornelis " Kees " Kist ( born August 7, 1952 in Steenwijk ) is a former Dutch football player.

Playing career

Kist began his career at SC Heerenveen in 1970. After two years in Heerenveen Kist went to AZ Alkmaar. There he won in the ten years he was under contract once the Dutch Championship ( 1981) and three times the Dutch Cup (1978, 1981, 1982 ). During this time he was also twice top scorer of the Netherlands ( 1979, 1980 ) and won the 1979 Golden Boot in Europe. In 1982 he moved to France to Paris St Germain. Here he won the French Cup winners. 1983 moved to FC Mulhouse in 1984 and returned back to the Netherlands for SC Heerenveen. In 1987, he finished his career after he played two years at AZ Alkmaar.

International players career

Internationally, he played for the Netherlands in 21 international matches and scored 11 goals. He participated in the European Football Championship in 1976 partly in Yugoslavia, where he was with the team of third parties. At the World Championship in Italy in 1980, he retired with the team in the group stage.
