Kehler FV

The Kehler FV is a sports club based in Kehl. The first football team currently plays in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg. The association has about 1,000 members, including 700 active. In addition, the Kehler FV cooperation partner of Karlsruher SC.

History

The club was founded in 1907 and owned in the 1930s with the football and athletics department two main divisions. The football department played in 1937 in the then highest German league ( Gauliga ) together with renowned clubs such as SV Waldhof Mannheim. In the 1950s, the Kehler FV was one of the top clubs of South Baden. So you won the 1958 South Baden Cup. Until 1966, the Kehler FV played in the then third-rate first amateur league South Baden. This division reached the " PRR " again from 1970 until 1974. During the following decades, the club recorded several ascents and descents between the regional league and division. Only in the 2007/ 08 season they managed as runner-up of the federation League Südbaden by victories in the promotion relegation to jump into the now fifth rate Oberliga Baden- Württemberg. There, the club was able to establish in the following years and reached in the 2012/13 season for the first time a single-digit table space.

The athletics department dominated especially in the 1960s and 1970s, the club scene. During this time heavy Bernd won the title of the German Youth Champion at both the 100-meter and 200- meter track. Georg Nückles was, inter alia, 1972 European Indoor Champion in Grenoble, 1972 and 1973 German indoor champion and participated in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.

Coaching team

Since 1997, supervised Bora Markovic, the first football team of Kehler FV. In January 2013, the club announced the extension of the contract for a further year. This is Markovic's 16th season as head coach. The U- 23 of the KFV is trained by Helmuth Kroell. To complete the team of trainers by Goalkeeping coach Joachim Kampmann and Konditions coach Philippe Henches.

The Kehler FV plays its home games since 1965, 12,000 people (of which 630 covered grandstand seats ) comprehensive Rhein Stadium from. There are two grass courts, an artificial turf field and a running track are available. Also located on the site of the office of the Kehler FV.
