Keido Fukushima

KEIDO Fukushima (Japanese福岛 庆 道, Fukushima KEIDO; * 1933, † 1 March 2011) was a Japanese Rinzai Zen master who presided over the Tofuku -ji in Kyoto, Japan as a senior abbot. He was ordained as a monk at age 14 and completed his apprenticeship under Boro Okada and Zenkei Shibayama. Under his leadership, some non-Japanese people took part in the exercises in Tofuku -ji, including the Americans Jeff Shore and muho Nölke, a native of Germany abbot of Antai -ji.
