Keir Gilchrist

Keir David Peters Gilchrist ( born September 28, 1992 London, United Kingdom) is a Canadian actor.

Life and career

Keir Gilchrist was born in September 1992 in London and spent the first years of his life. He has a brother. His maternal grandfather is the Canadian banker, economist and politician Douglas Peters and his uncle, the economist David Wilfrid Peters. During his childhood, he and his family moved to Boston and then to New York City, before they finally settled down in Toronto.

Gilchrist discovered his passion for acting at an early age. His theater teacher encouraged him to pursue the acting professionally. Gilchrist worked at Annex Children's Theatre with. He had his first television appearance in 2003 in an episode of the series Queer as Folk. His breakthrough earned him the role of Marshall Gregson in the dramedy United States of Tara, which was first broadcast in 2009. His first starring role in the film he had 2010 in It's Kind of a Funny Story.
