Keith Connor

Keith Connor ( born September 16, 1957 in Anguilla) is a former British athlete. At a height of 1.86 m his competition weight was 78 kg.

His first international medal winning Keith Connor at the European Indoor Championships in 1978, when he left Anatoli Piskulin won with 16.53 meters in the triple jump silver from the Soviet Union. At the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, he won with 17.21 meters ahead of Australian Ian Campbell. A month later at the European Championships 1978 in Prague with 16.64 meters 6th place in 1980 at the Olympic Games in Moscow took Connor with 16.87 meters of space 4

After Keith Connor had clearly won at the European Championships in 1982 with 17.29 meters, he was also a favorite for the Commonwealth Games in 1982 in Brisbane. Keith Connor won with 17.81 meters ahead of Australian Ken Lorraway with 17.54 meters. However, these cracks were not entered in the leaderboards, because far too strong tailwind prevailed.

The following year, Keith Connor succeeded at the first World Championships 1983 in Helsinki with 16.18 meter not to move into the final. His season best 1984, Connor at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. 16.87 meters ranged for bronze behind the Americans Al Joyner and Mike Conley.
