Keith Harvey Miller

Keith Harvey Miller ( * March 1, 1925 in Seattle, Washington ) is a former American politician of the Republican Party, which was from 1969 to 1970 Governor of the State of Alaska.

Career

Keith Miller was born in 1925 in Seattle. During the Second World War he served in the Army Air Corps. He then held various public offices: he was a deputy in the 1963-1964 House of Representatives from Alaska and then from 1966 to 1969 Secretary of State of Alaska, before the name of this office was changed to Vice- Governor. In addition, he was elected in January 1969 to the Governor of Alaska, to fill the vacancy that was created by the resignation of Walter Hickel. He was also a member of the Lions Club, the Elks and Moose Lodges and the American Legion.
