Keith Ingham

Keith Ingham ( born February 5, 1942 in London ) is a British jazz pianist and bandleader of the Oldtime Jazz. He became famous for his activities in the UK swing and Dixieland revival.

Keith Ingham had his first professional appearances to 1964. He played in this time with Sandy Brown, Bruce Turner and Wally Fawkes. In 1974 he worked with Bob Wilber and Bud Freeman and moved in 1978 to New York City. In the 1980s he played with Benny Goodman, the World's Greatest Jazz Band and Susannah McCorkle. As a sideman, he can also be heard on recordings by Maxine Sullivan, Marty Grosz, Harry Allen and Eddie Condon. For the label Jump. Stomp Off and Sackville, he recorded a number of albums in the style of the 1930s. In some of his albums such as in Out of the Past Ingham documents the history of jazz piano by Richard M. Jones and Barry Harris. His album Donaldson Redux 2 is devoted to the Ellington - composer Billy Strayhorn the Tin Pan Alley composer Walter Donaldson, the albums New York Nine, Vol.1 &.
