Keith Seaman

Sir Keith Douglas Seaman KCVO, OBE (* June 11, 1920, † June 30, 2013 ) was governor of the Australian state of South Australia.

By 1977, Seaman was active in the Uniting Church in Australia. On September 1, 1977, he was appointed governor.

February 24, 1978 The Advertiser newspaper reported rumors that Seaman had to resign. Robin Millhouse, the only representative of the Democratic Party in parliament wanted to put this in a parliamentary session on the agenda, however, has been deterred by the Prime Minister thereof. The prime minister denied in a subsequent press conference, that reasons for a resignation Seamans were available. Later Seaman admitted that he had committed during his time at the church a "grave impropriety " (serious impropriety ), but at that time it had been examined by an ecclesiastical commission, and he was allowed to keep his office then.

Seaman remained governor until 28 March 1982.
