Keizaburo Tejima

Keizaburo Tejima (手 岛 圭 三郎jap, Tejima Keizaburo; * 1935 in Mombetsu, Hokkaidō, Japan) is a Japanese illustrator and picture book author who works with the woodcut technique.

In 1957 he graduated from the College of Education Hokkaido (北海道 教育 大学, Hokkaido Kyoiku Daigaku ) from.

His woodcuts were first issued in 1965 in Hokkaido. His first book publication was The Night of the Owls, which he published Fukutake the publisher Shoten in March 1982. He created more picture books, such as the debut, belonging to a particular species as actors can determine what is happening and have since become his trademark for this and other publishers in the following period.

Tejimas books have been translated into English, German, French and Spanish and received several awards, the book Fuchs 1986 dreams about an honorable mention at the award ceremony of the Bologna Ragazzi Award.
