Keizan

Keizan Jokin (Japanese莹 山 绍瑾; * 1264, † 1325 ) applies in addition to Eihei Dogen as a founder of the Japanese Soto Zen Buddhist shū. He was the founder of the Yoko -ji, then later took over the Morooka -dera, to rename it to a Zen temple by the name of Soji -ji.

Soji -ji gradually evolved into a more powerful than the temple founded by Dogen main temple Eihei -ji, which led to internal tensions.

In the Meiji period, these disputes were settled and now both Eihei -ji and Soji -ji as the main temples and Dogen and Keizan are considered founders.
