Geography and transport

Kellenhusen is a seaside health resort, which is 18 km north-east of Neustadt in Holstein, nearly 16 km (depending on distance) south-east of Oldenburg in Holstein and 4 km south of the east end of the Oldenburger Graben lies. The place is so in the Wagria between the forest and the Baltic Sea and Bay of Lübeck between Grömitz and Dahme.

West of Kellenhusen the federal highway 501 runs in the direction of Neustadt Fehmarn.
