Kelly-Ann Baptiste

Kelly -Ann Kaylene Baptiste ( born October 14, 1986 in Scarborough, Tobago ) is a track and field athlete from Trinidad and Tobago.

Career

2003 won the sprinter at the Youth Athletics World Championships bronze over 100m. The following year she was at the Olympics in Athens in the Trinidadian team in the 4 x 100 - meter relay team, which was eliminated in the flow after a change of error.

In 2005 she began studying at Louisiana State University. In the same year she reached the quarter-finals at the World Championships in Helsinki over 100 m. In 2008 she was in her final year NCAA champion in the 60 meters in the hall and 100 meters outdoors.

At the Olympic Games in Beijing, she came over 100m quarter-finals. In the 4 x 100 - meter relay, the Trinidadian team again reached in the flow not the goal.

In 2009 she retired from both the 100m as well as about 200 m in the semifinals at the world championships in Berlin. In the 4 x 100 - meter relay, she came with the Trinidadian relay to seventh place. When Athletics Continental 2010 she won both the 100m as well as with the American team in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. In 2011 she won at the World Championships in Daegu bronze over 100m.

At the World Championships in Moscow in 2013, she traveled to a positive doping test ahead of the competition on a voluntary basis from again.

Kelly -Ann Baptiste is 1,67 m tall and weighs 58 kg. She is coached by Lance Brauman, is sponsored by adidas and lives in Florida.

Honors

2011 was named Sportswoman of the Year Kelly -Anne Baptiste of Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee.
