Kelly Petillo

Cavino Michele "Kelly" Petillo (* December 15, 1903 in Philadelphia, † June 30, 1970 in Los Angeles ) was an American race car driver.

Kelly Petillo took ten times at the Indianapolis 500 and won this race in 1935. This was also the first victory for an Offenhauser engine. With two more wins this year, he also won the AAA National Championship.

In 1937, Petillo part of the Vanderbilt Cup, but fell due to engine problems from. Later in his life he had variously problems and also spent some time in prison. In 1970 he died from emphysema.
