Kemerhisar is a municipality in the district of Bor the Turkish province of Nigde. In 2011, the town had 5348 inhabitants.

Kemerhisar is located about 8 kilometers south of boron and 20 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital of Nigde. It is located in the plateau on the eastern edge of the boron Ovasi Ereğli Ovasi, west of the highway D -805 of Nigde after Ulukışla.

Attractions

Kemerhisar is located on the site of the ancient city of Tyana, which in turn takes the place of the Hittite Tuwanuwa and spätluwischen Tuwana. From Tyana an impressive aqueduct is preserved among others. To the east of the town at Bahçeli is the archaeological site Köşk Höyük, an inhabited since Neolithic settlement mound. In Kemerhisar the stele of boron from the 8th century BC was found, showing the spätluwischen ruler Warpalawas.
